The body of this cup was made with a final layer of 24karat gold leaf on the glaze that melted into the design during the firing. It adds a slightly textured sparkle to the glaze, emanating a light dusting of gold throughout the piece.
100% non-toxic, functional and dishwasher safe. All of our pottery is made from Stoneware clay, and meant to be used and enjoyed everyday. Handcrafted by Joel Cherrico on his pottery kickwheel. The "Ruby Red" color was created by Joel Cherrico's custom glaze chemistry. The goal was to create a glaze that is striking and vibrat, but also rustic and earthen.
